A set of post cards I have just made for a swap with mixedmedia uk, Patchwork cut out shapes and hand embroidery.

Postcards

Postcards I am taking to The States with me to post thought I might try posting without an envelope cant remember the term for doing that. I might call them plastic lace as they made from carrier bags strips woven with strips of material and lace then ironed to hold it altogether I then hand and machine embroidered them They came out quite well.

Postcard in Stitch

I have just found out someone had to tell me my postcard for the swap in Stitch
has been published in the magazine I had to buy it didn't I. I had forgotten all about it and
wasn't quite sure when I was told what it was. I'm going to shout about it as its probable the
first and last time I will have anything printed. I had picked up the magazine a week ago but
put it back as it didn't contain anything I particularly wanted to make. Click on the title and it will take you to my blog page with the card. I did a swap with Amelia she has the second

Would anyone like to swap postcards. I have made these three cards from lutradur

Post Card Swap

Two more cards for the Stitch Magazine swap. I cut out scraps of material and machined them on to vilene with the set patterns on my machine then embellished with Suffolk puffs and flowers. The card with the red braid around the outside is the one I donated to be sold for the Embroidery Guild. As I thought the braid was a bit over the top I didn't put it on the second one. I would love to hear from you if you receive one of my cards including the one with the lady on.Maybe a bit unlikely but you never know I have just been contacted by a lady in one of my groups who lives in the same town and we are going to meet up next week. I am looking forward to this as she makes dolls too. Most of my friends don't even sew.

Postcard Swap

The image on this postcard was taken from an old transfer I don't know how old it is. I hand embroidered it with stem stitch back stitch and blanket stitch while watching tv over Christmas evenings. I thought the programes on the tele over Christmas were not up to very much. This is for a swap in the magazine Stitch I may do another one as they are not due till the end of January.
