The garden doesn't have any flowers apart from snowdrops so I have been making my own. The red and cream roses in the picture were cut in strips on the bias from silky material, they were then shaped and gathered onto a base. The red one I wore at a Valentines dance and was much admired. The roses were quick to make so I will be making more, they come from the book Fun to Wear Fabric Flowers by Elizabeth Helene Searle I will try the daffodil next.
